My way of working
Learn, relearn or optimize movements and go home from the move2smile lesson with a smile. The movement lessons using the NeuroMovement method allow new, desirable connections to be created in the brain. It is learning through movement.
Most students come to me with the desire to improve the way they move. At the same time, a lot of other remarkable things happen: pain can disappear, balance becomes stronger, speech develops, vision, breathing, sleep and digestion improve. Communication and interaction become easier, people become happier, more vital and more creative. This is because the brain is shaped by movement with attention. We learn everything through movement!
“Movement is the language of the brain,” is how Anat Baniel, founder of the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®, describes it.
Scientifically recognized
The Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® is validated by leading neuroscientists and recommended for rehabilitation, therapy and performance improvement. It uses the findings of modern brain research coupled with today's knowledge about the biodynamics of our body - that's what makes it so enormously effective for learning, relearning and improving movement.
Pain and fear free
In the move2smile lessons, my “students” learn movement through feeling and perception. Pain and fear free. In a room where they feel comfortable, on a safe surface - under my attentive, loving and careful guidance. Regardless of whether the movement you want and need to learn has never existed before, was lost due to illness or accident, or is desired to be improved.
Up to here and (not) further!
As long as the brain is alive, learning and development is possible. I accept diagnoses and prognoses without judgment - I see possibilities, not limitations.
One success after another.
“If she could, she would. If he could, he would.”
I never ask a student to do something he cannot do. Because if he could, he would already do it. We start together where the student is at the moment and take the next step from there. This way the student has many learning SUCCESSES - instead of constantly finding out what they CAN'T do.
Learn how to learn
Traditionally, even small children, students and adults learn by someone telling them what is right and what is wrong. How something needs to be done and how not. How something works and how it doesn't work. This is also the approach of many forms of therapy. What is broken, what doesn’t work, needs to be “fixed”. Be it a “blockage in the shoulder” or a child with learning difficulties. This leaves those affected with a feeling of inability, failure and that “something is wrong with them”. NeuroMovement is a paradigm shift “from fixing to connecting”.
I create an environment and the conditions in which people can have positive learning experiences and learn through trying out, perceiving and experiencing. This learning wakes up the brain. Billions of new desired connections can be formed. People become happier and experience their self-efficacy. With this experience, every person is able to achieve unimagined progress.
„If you know what you do – you can do what you want.“
Areas of application “learning movement”
move2smile lessons can help children with special needs. The areas of application range from celebral palsy, birth trauma, non-specific developmental delays, scoliosis to ADHD and autism.
Areas of application “re-learning movement”
With move2smile lessons, you can relearn movements that have been lost after an accident, a stroke, an injury, an illness or simply over the years.
Areas of application “Improve movement”
Increase performance and reduce the risk of injury with move2smile lessons. Better results with less effort and training time.
My teachers
I would like to introduce here my wonderful teachers who taught me how to reach the brain through movement, to teach people movements that they cannot learn on their own and to approach my students in an unbiased and non-judgemental way.
